Trying to fly across the whole world, Amelia Earhart disappeared. Of course this being 1937, it was safe to assume that the worst had happened, after all, the planes weren’t exactly the state of the art machines that we see nowadays. The most commonly believed outcomes are that she either perished in some plane crash, or that she was captured by Japanese forces. But some believe that Amelia did not go on this journey to gain the fame of being the first person to fly the world, but to escape from it all and live a simple life. Think about it, you could land your plane on any part of the globe and carry out living your life anew. This being the 1930’s when people used ferries and ships to travel, running away and starting a new life would be fairly easy as well.
