Its a well-known fact that women are emotional creatures but that doesn’t means that men are devoid of all emotions and it is wrong to say that men don’t cry. All humans have emotions and men are no exception in fact when we say this we are being harsh on men. Because we all need some emotional relief in the form of tears, at some time in our life. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise when they get emotional and sad when watching some touching movie.
1. Knocking On Heaven’s Door:
The story is about two patients, diagnosed with terminal illnesses, sharing the same hospital room. The two of them decide not to end their life in this gloomy manner and run away from the hospital.They arrive at the sea-side but on the way they encounter sometimes funny and at times dangerous situations.
2. The Green Mile:
A huge black man faces death-penalty on the charges of the murder of two girls. The prisoner is a very gentle soul in spite of his giant-like appearance and possesses divine gift of healing. After inter-acting with him the prison warden starts doubting whether the man is really guilty.
3. My Name Is Khan:
Unlike most Indian movies that are full of song and dance sequences, this touching movie is the story of Rizwan Khan who sufers from Asperger’s Syndrome. He travels across America to re-unite with his wife who left him after the September 11 attack, when the world’s attitude towards the muslims changed.
4. Schindler’s List:
A successful businessman and member of the Nazi party, Oskar Schindler, saves about a thousand Jews in World War 2. The movie pays homage to his heroic deeds and the story has great depth and realism. It is true masterpiece and makes a great impact on its viewers.
5. Seven Pounds:
Ben Thomas finds it hard to forgive himself for the car accident in which his fiancee and six other people died due to him. To rectify the wrong he had done he decides to donate his body organs to terminally ill people to help them survive. But all this goes wrong when he falls in love with a girl, Emily. Everyone is driven to tears at the mental torment the hero goes through.
6. Gladiator:
The Emperor’s son condemns Maximus to death after he learns about th e latter’s heirarchy to the throne. However Maximus survives death and becomes a gladiator. Here again he faces his nemesis in the gladitorial pit of the Colosseum. Russell Crowe plays a very strong role of the gladiator and the climax will certainly make everyone cry.
