South Asian countries are faced with many sex discrimination issues. One of them that is sadly very common “Acid attacks.” The countries like Pakistan and India have been given to such attacks on young girls and women. The women have been thrown upon nitric or sulfuric acid on face that has disfigured many beautiful faces. The story does not end here, their self-esteem lowers, those attacks cause these poor ladies extreme physical and mental damage and sometimes their lives are lost.
Many organizations have stood against such a heinous crime and many women have taken stand in Mumbai, Agra and Delhi.
There is a cafe founded called ‘Sheroes’ Hangout in Agra, where all the victims gather, learn and receive all types of support.
