On August 17 a van rammed into a crowd killing 14 people and injuring over a hundred. This sad incident took place at the Las Ramblas avenue, in Spain At the same time there were two other attacks, one at the sea-side city of Cambrils and the other was a house explosion in Alcanar.
A 46 year old actress whose birth-place was India, Laila Rouass, along with her 10 year old daughter, Inez Khan, were caught in this attack.
She had hidden in a freezer in a restaurant and from there she live tweeted the whole incident.
Laila tweeted the developments as and when they happened.
She was on a holiday with her daughter but it all turned into a horrifying experience.
She even saw the lock-down of the city.
Two police officers in Barcelona were hurt when they were hit by a car.
Soon they were rescued and she thanked the restaurant staff for keeping them safe.
Among Laila’s parents her mother is Indian and father is Morrocan, they were living in London where Laila was born. She started as a VJ in Channel V and then started acting. She was seen on many T.V shows and has done one or two Bollywood films also.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the Barcelona attacks and are being condemned world-wide.
