We usually have this habit of considering anything that does not look good as a useless and bad deal and hardly take into consideration, the function that it might be performing. One such example is ear wax and following is some information about it.

Dr. David Hill is the host to a YouTube channel, ehowhealth

He has put forth some hard facts.

He says that ear wax basically performs two functions. The first function is to act as a physical barrier to dust and particles and the second function is to act as a chemical barrier.
He explains about the formation of the ear.

He further teaches that the skin inside the ear is very delicate and it works as a conveyor belt which itself takes the excessive wax out of the ear.

What if the excessive wax is visible?

He warns to never to use those ear cleaning sticks as it can push the wax deep inside the ear, which is not needed.
And if the wax still exists.

He gives this creative advice of mixing alcohol and vinegar and then adding some drops into your ear to find the wax cleaned. However, he warns that you should let your doctor to perform this procedure.
