Firefighters Rescue Workers Trapped On Scaffolding

A rope rescue team pulled two workers to safety Saturday morning after they became trapped on some scaffolding in Downtown Portland.


The Portland Fire and Rescue was called out at 9:30 a.m. to the Umbqua Bank building on SW Columbia.

According to the officials the motor of the scaffolding lift had failed because of which the workers who were working at the site were trapped at the side of the building.

Both the workers were found to be in good shape and were hoisted back on the roof to resume their work.

The firefighters had been able to help the workers and to retrieve them, within an hour.
